A little about my background
Let’s work together
Projects and Goals I’m working on.
Working with local and national government authorities to bring our area the attention, planning, and improvements it needs. Below I have outlined my main four goals for our Mulhuddart/Castleknock/Ongar areas.
Some helpful links to find out more on what’s going on in our area.
The Housing Crisis
Dublin 15 is at the front of the housing crisis. As such, more public housing is needed. Fingal are building 1400 public houses across the county with 900 alone in Dublin 15 at Church Fields.
But the Green Party is doing more then just supporting the construction of houses.
Public Transport in Ongar
The future is bright for public transport in Dublin 15.
The Maynooth train line is being upgraded to a DART standard with the railway order lodged in Autumn 2022 and BusConnects in the construction stage with the Blanchardstown Centre due for works in the coming months.
Within the council, active and public transport is becoming the future. In 2020, an Active Travel department was established with the intention of making walking and cycling the future.
Tackling the Childcare crisis
Affordable, non-profit childcare is increasingly difficult to find, and Fingal is the worst of the four Dublin Councils for affordable childcare.
I have been pushing for the council to take a more active role in childcare in Fingal and help pushed for a review in our policy.
Ensuring Sustainable Development
To tackle the housing crisis, we have got to build. But we need to build communities, along with houses.
Ensuring that large housing plans commit to building the necessary facilities like, cafes, community centre, creches, and schools are needed to allow communities to flourish.
We’re working hard with the local authority.
