TACKLING THE HOUSING CRISIS

Dublin 15 is at the front of the housing crisis. As such, more public housing is needed.

I am working with the council to help build 1400 public houses on public land in Fingal by serving on the Housing Strategic Policy Committee. In Dublin 15 alone, 900 houses will be built at Church Fields.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN ONGAR

The future is bright for public transport in Dublin 15.

The Maynooth train line is being upgraded to a DART standard with the railway order lodged in Autumn 2022 and BusConnects in the construction stage with the Blanchardstown Centre due for works in the coming months.

TAKING ON THE CHILDCARE CRISIS

Affordable, non-profit childcare is increasingly difficult to find, and Fingal is the worst of the four Dublin Councils for affordable childcare.

I have been pushing for the council to take a more active role in childcare in Fingal and help push for a review of our policy.

ENSURING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

To tackle the housing crisis, we have got to build. But we need to build communities, along with houses.

Ensuring that large housing plans commit to building the necessary facilities like, cafes, community centre, creches, and schools are needed to allow communities to flourish.

We Have the Power to Impact Our Future, and We’re Doing Something About It

I am most passionate about making a real change in our area. As part of my blog articles, you will find updates on planning applications, updates in our local community and policies that we are putting forward.

The time is now for climate, communities and equality

Climate change is the greatest threat to our communities, our country and our planet right now and the challenge to help tackle this momentous issue can seem daunting. But one of the most powerful tools you have to help tackle climate change is your ability to vote.

The Green Party has garnered a reputation of only focusing on climate change but this is far from the truth. The party has evolved and has strong, progressive policy positions that aim to both help improves people’s lives and help the environment.
